About

Sıla Eser is an accomplished solo and chamber musician, experienced private teacher and chamber coach. She is the 1st prize winner of the British Council String Competition. She made her solo debut in the Istanbul Music Festival Young Talents Series and performed in over thirty cities in France with the Orchestre de la Méditerranée – Mediterranean Youth Symphony Orchestra.

After winning the British Council String Competition as the only viola player, she studied with Prof. Roger Benedict at the Royal Northern College of Music. She received the ‘Young Musician of the Year’ award at the Leo-Fast Festival, and the Jury Award at the JCI Ten Outstanding Young People Competition.

Her string quartet won 1st place among 30 chamber groups at the Yale Chamber Music Celebration Concerts, receiving a standing ovation for Haydn's Op.75 No.5.
